Health Treat With A Twist

At times we may get severely bored with diets. I came up with a pretty awesome solution one day that would change my life forever. Its a weird combination that I still get ragged on til this day, but seeing the health benefits makes it a lot easier to accept.

 Here is the treat!

 - 1 medium baked Sweet Potato with the skin

 - 1 tablespoon of natural peanut butter

 - Cut the sweet potato sliced horizontally

 - Place peanut butter inside and close it up.

 - Let it sit for 1 minute

 - Enjoy awesome!

Now people may get freaked out by this, but don't knock it until you try it. Here are some health benefits of sweet potato.

 - low in sodium

 - low in saturated fats

 - low in cholesterol

 - Good source of fiber

 - Good source of vitamins B6, A, C, potassium, iron, calcium, manganses

 - Contains Carotenoids which help stabilize blood sugar levels and lowers insulin resistance thus making the cells more responsive to insulin treatment.

 - Contains an excellent amount of Beta-Carotene which helps fight chronic disease like cancer and heart disease. Also active in helping against inflammations related diseases such as rheumatiod arthritis and asthma.

So, this complex carb known as the sweet potato is basically a super food if you look at it for a healthy point of view. Keep in mind that natural peanut butter is a good source of healthy fats. This epic combination will keep you full throughout the day. Plus your taste buds will approve. This only taste a whopping 5-8mins to do, so its not time consuming at all.

Rude Jude Calls Out Mayweather

Ok, many people know already that I'm not a Mayweather fan whatsoever.  I believe that he takes lame fights and when he gets a big name fight, the fighter is over the hill.  He may be a undefeated champion, but he is a classless undefeated champion.  It is what it is in the tainted sport of boxing.

Here are two main reasons why I dislike Mayweather and I pray that Pacman vs Mayweather happens.  Someone has to give this guy his first lost.  When that lost hits Mayweather, it will be a great day in boxing.

Credit to Larry Merchant for talking back to Mayweather.  Their was no reason for him to be that classless.  Now Rude Jude calls out Mayweather during his Sirius radio show on channel 45.  In typical Mayweather fashion, he goes off the deep end.  Shout out to Rude Jude.

Mayweather has a lot of issues to deal with, so tt is what it is.  I would like to personally thank Larry and Jude once again for keep their composure as well as letting Mayweather make an idiot out of himself yet again.

Enjoying This Weekend To The Fullest,

Fat Joe breaks The 100 Pound Weight Lost Mark

I want to congratulate Fat Joe on breaking 100 pounds in weight lost. I'm not a fan of rap anymore because I believe rap isn't the same anymore. The very 1st Terror Squad album is rap. That entire album stays true to it's form. Everything now is show boating and doesn't stick to it's true art form. Everything is window dressing, but it is what it is.

What I am a fan of are those people that grab a grip on their life and Fat Joe is one of them. The video that you are about to watch is a clip of reflection on Fat Joe's weight lost complements of WorldStarHipHop.

Where Can Your Mind Take You

"Your body can sleep, but the brain will keep moving stressing over the next move in life.

Your body can rest, but the mind will keep plotting takeover's and landslides that will favor your cause.

Eight hours don't seem like 8 hours.

It will default your entity for 4 quiet minutes.

We work hard and then we work harder.

We stride towards the goal of completing the task at hand.

This lifestyle isn't for just anybody or anyone.

People have strolled down this lane thinking it's all fun and games until they see what needs to be done.

6-8 clean meals a day.

90 to 120 minutes 4-6 days a week for the rest of your life.

No drinking.

No smoking.

A gallon of water a day.

Your body talks and you mind listens.

The life of a bodybuilder.

The will of a Saint.

The heart of a soldier.

That is the life I live.  That is the life I want.  That is the life I respect.  That is the life I treasure."

Improving Your Shoe Game Makes A Difference

Little changes to your lifestyle will make a difference in your everyday life.  This post is for all the ladies out their especially those that rock heels on a daily basis.  With the good some a little of the bad.  You will see what I mean as I ramble on.

Paula's shoe closet gives my girlfriend competition

Thinking with the aspect of fitness in mind, rocking heels all the time isn't a good thing.   High heels may contribute to knee and back problems, shortened calf muscles, and an awkward, unnatural gait. Keep in mind this would be over a prolonged period of time.  The issue the angle on which a female would be walking around in.  The Knee issues and back problems will stem from the uneven weight distribution.  As for the shortened calf muscle, think of it as using a standing calf machine in the gym and holding it up.  Your calves are in consistent tension and that's not a good thing.  It's a prime result of most women busting out the flats after clubs or even at times go with the "EPIC FAIL" of being barefoot.  I never understood that, but they do it anyway.

There is one good things about rocking heels though.  That good aspect of the heel trend is that the consistent tension will help tone legs.  There is nothing sexier than a woman that knows how to rock heels with a beautiful outfit on a warm summer night .  Ladies who have master the art of rocking heels and posses a sense of fashion, I applaud you!  Some fail with flying colors, but those that know what they are doing makes life for us men all that much better.

With all this being said, women please have a level head when it comes to your shoe game.  Yes you can buy all the heels in the world when you drag your man to the mall in which we will be carrying all the bags because you buy too much, but even it out.  You can have sexy heels with knee pain in your later years in life if you don't address the issue in your younger start hungry years.  Their is no point in rocking heels to go to the corner store.  I've seen this many times and it's cool, but really? Think about it.  You will be ok having one day without heels.

39 Days And Counting

37 days out from the start to my competition season and I'm loving every minute of it.  The diet has been a pain in the ass at times, but my focus is on the benefits of it.  My weight and bodyfat has been dropping week to week resulting in my body frame improving drastically.

For those that have competed and dieted hard know that maintaining your muscularity can be difficult.  With you caloric intake being low, the diet has to be inconjuction with bodily needs.  First and foremost, you protein intake needs to remain at a high level.  Not off season, but high enough to at least maintain the lean muscle you have.  Here's a breakdown for the protein end of the diet that I have been using as of late.  These calculations are base on your bodyweight.

Lifestyle/Training Goal Daily Protein Needs Lifestyle/Training Goal Daily Protein Needs

          Bodybuilding 1.0 - 1.6g/lb bodyweight Endurance 0.7 - 0.9g/lb bodyweight
          Dieting 0.35 - 1.0g/lb bodyweight Stressed 0.45 - 0.7g/lb bodyweight

Having explained the protein end of the diet, it's time to hit the carb end of it.  For competition purpose, my carb count is low.  At the moment, I've been flirting between 65 - 80 grams per day.  They have been strategically placed for meal 1, preworkout and post-workout.  In this way, I can try to prevent fatigue throughout the day.  It helps, but just so much do to low energy.  If you don't know by now coffee and teas have been my best friend throughout my awesome ordeal.

In closing, diets are very rewarding, but can be hellish.  On a side note, I just realized that "Hello Kitty" was in the background.  With that being said, shout out to Jillian for being awesome!

Stay Focused!!!!!
