Thought About Acting? Make It A Sweet Reality.

"Pursue some path, however narrow and crooked
in which you can walk with love and reverence."
-Henry David Thoreau

I've dabbled in acting my entire life. There were occasions, stints, thoughts, but they were whimsical. In college I went to my first audition. I didn't get the part and so I moved on. Then in law school I landed a role. I got the part, booked it, filmed, and I still kept it moving. I didn't realize that all of the dabbling meant I wanted in. Mostly because I didn't know how to break in. And I put up a lot of blocks to achieving that dream because I thought it wasn't realistic.

Once I learned that life doesn't have to follow a linear path, that it can be "narrow and crooked" then I embraced that part of me that yearned to express my creativity. I opened my eyes with a new perspective and looked at all the signs leading me to the doors that I needed opened.

Sounds magical, huh? It's not. It takes talent, faith, and a lot of hard work. If you're up for the challenge, here's where to start:

Feel Good Friday

It's finally Friday! After a long week of nonsense and discussions on how all the Football games went last week, we have another 48 to 72 hours to make it happen yet again.  Another 48 to 72 hours to bag as many chicks as possible.

Time to bond with family and friends you haven't had a chance to see because your boss is a douche.

Time to throw some beer back with fellow footballs while discussing how bad Tebow is and how awesome the Packers are. Notice that I didn't mention the Jets because I believe that they have a long way to go.  They still play like shit, but that's another article for another day.

Time to stand up and live by the words "FUCK IT" because life is too short, you are still young and you don't have work until 8am Monday morning.  Regardless of how the night goes, you are still awesome because you made it the best night possible with the best people time can buy.

It's time to have have the best time possible with family, friends and chasing tail. Now usally I would go in on the art of booty chasing since I bagged the best ass there is, but I'm going to change the mood a bit.

We have all we might possibly have so far in life.  Most of us have good health, jobs (even though they may not meet the ends) and the ability to go out with whoever we want.  At times, we take this gifts for granted.  We, at times, don't think of those that are dealing with real issues.  Issues like traveling for work, in which seeing family is out of their hands, helping out sick family members, etc.

Lets celebrate the weekend for those that can't celebrate it.  Let us celebrate the weekend for this guy right here.  He's a soldier on active duty spending time with his daughter thanks to the power of technology.  All credit goes to WelcomeHomeBlog.com

So remember amigos, the weekend is a beautiful thing.  No matter what the situation may be, make the best of it for yourself and for those that can't.  Walk around with a big smile on your face and when a bottle girl/waitress brings your drink, tell them thank you with a tip and smile.  Make someone  day because for that moment you made them happy.  You made them forget their problems with a smile and being a non-douche bag.  In return, you'll feel better in the process and you never know what can happen because that's how life it.

Hangover 3 ??!!!

YESSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hangover 3 is said to already be in the works!!!!!!!!!!
With part 2 raking in over $200 million and has only been in theaters for a little over 6 days now, it seems as though it would be silly to not try a part 3!!!
as posted in Allieiswired.com:

(Apparently, Warner Bros has looked to Craig Mazin who with Scot Armstrong penned the second Hangover film.

So what would a part three look like?
Well, here’s what Mazin said; “I think the third movie ends with Doug staring at a row of crosses in a graveyard. It’s everyone – his wife, his family is dead, everybody from the first movie is dead. Somebody shows up and tells him his dog is dead.”)
It has been mentioned that a third film might take place in Amsterdam!! Hmmm now that's another one I'd like to see!!!

till next time!!!

Wonder Woman's new look!!

With the new TV Show underway there has been a little bit of a stir! How do you like the new digs?
Most people are giving it a thumbs down, entertainment weekly released the photos for the new Super Heroin 2 weeks ago and a lot of people are not happy with the look, comparing it to the cheap costumes sold at any costume shop: (See below)

Or some of these more "expencive" versions worn by Celebs Kim Kardashian, and Rhona Mirta in 2008

Due to the negative press and, the costume was "tweaked". Two nights ago, the busy streets between Hollywood Boulevard Orange Drive were closed until the morning for filming one of the new shows chase scenes. The new Wonder Woman Adrianne Palicki showing off the changed pieces.
The pants and boots are the only parts that were changed, however its not much of a jump from the prior failed costume. According to G4.com here was some comments made yesterday:

1. The previously-blue boots are now a more comic-traditional red. While this wasn't much of an issue to me, there were many fans that preferred the more purist approach when it came to the color-coordination of her footwear. However, it is worth noting that the new boots are no longer on high-heels, which makes sense if you're going to have scenes where Wonder Woman chases down a runaway Marilyn Monroe drag impersonator.

2. The horrid, shiny blue pants that covered her beautiful long, silky-smooth legs -- are still there. But, they're no longer flamboyantly shiny. In fact, they seem to actually be made of a fabric of some type. This is probably connected to the same need for practicality that saw the boots get swapped. In the very least, they look far more workable.

To me, nothing is better then the original, including the curvier, more cartoon complementing original Wonder woman herself Lynda Carter, who gave both a thumbs up. So all and all, it doesn't matter what we think! Lets see how the new series turns out!

Ashton Kutcher's "Punk'd" Returns with Justin Bieber as Host???

According to some recent news the fan fave show Punk'd may be coming back!

The creator and former host of the MTV show, Ashton Kutcher says that the show may be coming back soon and he would like Justin Bieber to replace him as host! Ashton revealed his plans in an interview with USA Today:

"I really can’t talk about it because everything’s sort of in process. It’s a possibility that it could be happening. I will not be hosting the show in the future. People were afraid I was going to punk them wherever I went and I’m starting to get invited to stuff again and it’s actually a good thing. I’ll be involved in some capacity if we do it and there could be a new host but I can’t say a whole lot.
[Justin Bieber] He’s a nice kid and he’s a funny kid – and people don’t know he’s a funny kid yet… and he’s sneaky. And I like sneaky people."
- Ashton

"Good choice! Brings in a fresh perspective to the show. And Justin has the mischievous sense of humor that a show like Punk'd needs."
-Perez Hilton

The 32-year old is even sporting Bieber hair! lol, I guess hes and avid fan, despite him saying he hated the haircut on himself.

Personally I don't know too much about Justin, and honestly he's just an annoying kid to me.. but that might make him perfect for the show, he seems sneaky and annoying is a trait people love to hate. They'll watch and complain about the show so much, it could be even better then Ashton's reign on the hit show, or maybe just a major flop!
I guess will have to see what happends...

NY Jets in AFC Championship - It's Go Time!

In the words of Rex Ryan, "It's GO Time".

On Sunday, January 23, 2011 the Jets and Steelers will meet at the river for the rematch that will determine who will go to Super Bowl XLV. The Jets incredible victory over the Patriots earned them a spot to go against the Pittsburgh Steelers to battle it out for the conference championship.

The defense New York faces is far more fierce than what it saw in Indianapolis or New England the last two weeks. Neither the Colts nor the Patriots have playmakers like Polamalu or LBs Harrison and Woodley . The Jets must get solid performances from tackles Ferguson and Hunter, plus dependable pickups from RBs Greene, Tomlinson, along with steady veteran Richardson. Sanchez must remain consistent and throw in some big plays such as the TD pass to Holmes last week or the one to Edwards that set up the winning field goal in Indy.

There's a reason why this is the Steeler's fourth AFC Championship in the past seven years, but regardless of all the statistics, I'm going to have a little faith and go with the hometown team.

Go JETS!

Final Score: Jets 24, Steelers 20

AFC Divisional Playoff Race Part 1

New York Jets VS New England Patriots

This is going to be the most watched game during the Divisional Round of the NFL postseason.  The reason I say this is due to Rex Ryan's mouth along with Gang Green's lockeroom swagger.  I love the confidence from the Jets staff, but remember what happened week 13 on Monday Night.  The Patriots seem to let the scoreboard due the talking that time.  Hopefully it won't be as bad this time around.

Let's look at the numbers!

New York Jet rankings:

Passing:  202.6 yrds 22nd overall
Rushing: 148.6 yrds 4th overall
Pass Defense:  200.6 yrds 6th overall
Rush Defense:  90.9 yrds 3rd overall

New England Patriots rankings:

Passing:  240.4 yrds 11th overall
Rushing:  123.3 yrds 9th overall
Pass Defense:  258.5 30th overall
Rush Defense: 108.0 11th overall

Carmelo Anthony Headed to the East Coast?

I have been a big fan of Carmelo Anthony ever since he was a freshman at Syracuse. Ask my fellow Sweet Lifer Erica. I’ve followed his career through the years and I’ve always wanted him to come to the East Coast so that I could see him in more games. And now it looks like the time has finally arrived.

The Nets are currently trying to get Anthony on their team. Even when I thought there was a chance of him coming to the East Coast I figured it would be with the New York Knicks. That option is still 50/50 right now. I would love to see him join Amar'e Stoudemire, who has done spectacular things for the Knicks this season. Anthony's desire to play for the New York Knicks is well-known, but Denver would rather trade him to New Jersey because it can receive more assets, a young prospect (Favors), expiring contracts and first-round draft picks.

Vinny Guadagnino & Jersey Shore... T-Shirt Line?!

On Monday Jan 3rd 2011, I caught up with friend and reality star Vinny Guadagnino from Jersey Shore  at his IHAV (I Have A Vision) T-Shirt Line, to raise awareness for anti-bullying and to generate funding for the cause launch party at Greenhouse in New York City. Oh and  Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Vinny’s mom Paulette, uncle Nino, and family were there, too!

MTV states: " Vinny Guadagnino's line of tees, aims to generate funding for anti-bullying--and apparently, Catholic schoolgirl smushing--initiatives. Way to kill two birds with one stone, Vin!”

I was a smidge late to the event but at least I showed up! Lol. I went there with my good friend/Client artist Ron Browz and co worker from CEG Neala to intro Vinny and Ron for an up-coming venture!

Futuristic?

I was looking for some tips on fashion trends for 2011 and came across this video that made me think a little too much...
How dependent are we on our electronics?

Could we ever go back to the simple time before we couldn't live with out or cell phones or Internet?

The Hottest Male Athletes of 2010

Some women love a man in uniform. Others prefer white collar, a man in a business suit. But who doesn’t like an athlete? Being a huge sports fan I often choose my favorite team based on who has the best defensive or offensive structure but who am I kidding, I’m a woman and there are definitely some athletes who catch my eye.

I tried to provide a versatile list to cover different sports. Some of these guys aren’t my personal preference but I wanted a diverse list for all the ladies, while some were my personal favorites. “Hot” can be defined as being physically attractive; having swagger or even sometimes the number of championships can make someone seem even more enticing because of the determination and passion displayed. The top 10 contains 3 baseball players, 3 football players, 3 basketball players and 1 soccer player. Although I couldn’t list every single athlete I did include some honorable mentions along with the top 10 list. This list could go on and on.

Enjoy...

Top 10

(In no particular order.)

1. Matt Kemp

2. Shannon Brown

3. Reggie Bush

4. Will Demps

5. Carmelo Anthony

6. David Beckham

7. Derek Jeter

8. Darren Sharper

9. Alex Rodriguez

10. Kobe Bryant

Honorable Mentions:

James Blake

Cristiano Ronaldo

Eddie House

Devin Thomas

The Sweet Life takes it to LOVE for Trey Songz's PPP Album Release Party!

I ( @E_LoBombShell ) and my girl and fellow Sweet Life correspondent Jan (@JanFLee) decided to hit up Trey Songz's album release party for Passion, Pain, and Pleasure in D.C. on Sat, 9.18.10. It was an interesting night to say the very least and while I must admit it was more of a chaotic experience rather than pleasurable, Jan and I managed to make the best of it. The highlights of our night to name a few were finding parking ( Yay! we got lucky after waiting in the traffic jam for almost 30 minutes), the fire alarm going off while in the club, and the two fights we saw while inside the party  (there could have been more...) one taking place on the stage mere feet away from Trey Songz himself. Please do not even get me started on the long list of cheesy, corny, wack, and disrespectful pick-up lines we heard during the course of the night... (that's a separate blog post onto itself). Oh ... and whose bright idea was it to not initially open all four floors of LOVE considering the gorgeous weather?!!! They had to resort to holding people on the first floor because the second floor was "filled to capacity"!

Side note to whoever was in charge of the wristbands ---> Trey Songz

But on a more positive note... Congrats are in order to Trey Songz for debuting #1 on Billboard's list of Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and # 2 on their Billboard 200! I've been following him since his first album 5 years ago... "I Gotta Make It" and have been smitten ever since!  You've come a long way!

A special thanks to Anwaa Kong of (@EliteDCMag), Dominique Moxey (@DominiqueMoxey), and Kal Ross for holding us down. :)
