A Tribute To Some Of The Greatest Hits Of Our Time

The musical duo of MaleVsFemale, which is comprised of Omar Torres and Jillian Valentin, are do to release their highly anticipated promotional video March 6th. This isn't an just any ordinary video. It turns out that this is a cover of 4 number 1 hits from each of the last 4 decades.

Word has it that "The Medley" will feature cover songs from Lady Gaga, Prince, Adele and White Stripes. How they fit these songs in will remain a mystery until the midnight release.

New Details on the Kim Kardashian Divorce

Recently the announcement was made that Kim Kardashian was filing for divorce from her husband Kris Humphries after only 72 days of marriage.  Kardashian filed the papers in Los Angeles Superior Court. (See documents below filed on October 31, 2011).

Details on the divorce are simple "Whats mine is mine and whats yours is yours", She wants to remain with everything she made before, during and after the split. Pieces of jewelry he had given to her are on topic at the moment, however in a court statement an engagement ring after a couple has been married can not be included on the list. So this 2.5mil piece of jewelry is hers for good, and because they didn't get the chance to purchase a home together, the divorce will be an easier split.

Everyone is wondering why the rushed marriage and shortly after rushed divorce? A source says:
“Kris has been getting nastier by the min and has been threatening Kim,” a source says. ”He has basically given her an ultimatum, ‘Move to Minnesota with me or I will dump you!’ This is really immature behavior. I heard that she feels like she didn’t know him at all and that she rushed way too quickly into marriage.”

Kim, and Kris, had many reasons why they shouldn’t be together, but much of the drama was because of Kris’ work on Kourtney and Kim Take New York!

“Kim and Kris got into a huge fight Kris told Kim he was sick of the cameras following him around and that he had had enough,” she said. “Kris said the reality show was ruining their marriage and it obviously took its toll on their relationship. Even though Kris had promised her that he would be on the show and that he was OK with all the cameras. This seems to be much of the reason that there marriage failed. They were only married for 72 days. Basically, the marriage should never have happened. There was too much of an emphasis on the wedding TV special rather than on their actual relationship. 

Another source had stated to E!. “They were rarely out together. She was never integrating his life into her schedule. This is a kid who doesn’t have a job and he’ll be a free agent. Kim was definitely not ready to settle down and move outside of New York. It’s not going to help her career. Kris was in over his head and Kim was so desperate to get married. Her friends are not surprised at all — it’s something they saw coming. She is disappointed but everyone saw it coming.”

The 26-year-old NBA star has reportedly pulled out of his hosting duties at a Las Vegas event this coming Saturday. His spokesperson initially promised he would be attending the Sin City shindig, he must really be feeling as 'devastated' as Kris stated 2 days ago:
He said: 'I'm committed to this marriage and everything this covenant represents.’ I love my wife and am devastated to learn she filed for divorce ... I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make it work.'
Kim said it was 'not an easy decision' after filing, on the grounds of 'irreconcilable differences'
in a statement to E! - which screens her TV show - Kim said: 'After careful consideration, I have decided to end my marriage. I hope everyone understands this was not an easy decision. 'I had hoped this marriage was forever, but sometimes things don't work out as planned. We remain friends and wish each other the best.'
Kardasian released a letter to fans in the midst of the rumors not in full detail, I’m guessing just to stop the harassing tweets that she didn’t touch base on, but I did see in her mentions: Click here to read:

While a spokesperson for the nightclub states that they haven't received 'an official cancellation' yet, they aren't going to hold it against him. Earlier yesterday a source told Life & Style: 'His people have confirmed he's still coming, even in the wake of this divorce announcement.' And Humphries himself has not yet confirmed him not attending the event.

The basketball star is currently in Minnesota with family, while Kim and younger sister Khloe have flown to Melbourne, Australia for Kardashian Kollection-related business.

Other rumors have floated around that this wedding was all a stunt! While Kris is debating on making his prior commitment to host a party in Vegas, this divorce has not stopped Kim from attending her prior engagements.
The reality star enjoyed her night out for her sponsored liquor “Midori” Halloween party in NYC this weekend and was dressed like the Batman vixen Poison Ivy (Know for  seducing men and being poisonous to the touch) hmm Ironic! A source says “she partied like her normal self but had her moments where you can see she just put on a brave face”.

However days before the split Kim twitpic’d a photo without her ring on: 

If this was all a media ploy, were they all in on it?… or was Kris just a toy? Recently Kim also released a fragrance just before the wedding special “In Love” so a lot had to do with this marriage. 

I do believe she married for a love, but not his love! Being the romantic that she seems to be, the idea was greater then the reality!

Halloween Weekend

All credit and I mean all credit goes to this lady right here.  Jillian Valentin's vision is second to none.  Her amazing creativity and insights took over each and every venue she attended on Halloween weekend.  From custom made costumes to face and body paint, nothing is out of each.  Here is some of her work from this past weekend.

This paint job was done just with white and black eyeliner.

At this point I was a little peeved at the venues I attended.  I wasn't able to rock this costume without the jacket.  I guess since I didn't have a vag to go with my man chest, I was told to cover up.  I did give it another shot and managed to pull of a full body pic eventually. 

This face paint was also done with eye liner. Reminds me of lead character from "The Nightmare Before Christmas."

The best costume of the night, which was deemed by the Coors Light Models , Pinocchio that was hand made by Jillian.  

So I was finally able to show off Jillian's work.  Full body paint took about 90 minutes.  Everything again was handmade and stressed Jillian the hell out.  Since I'm a bodybuilder, my physique is consistently changing for the better, but not in this case.  When the costume was finished after being measure 2 weeks prior, I grew close to 3 inches on my calves and thighs.  I was a happy man, but Jillian almost hit me with a chair.

The past 72 hours have been great.  Jillian's vision took everyone by storm, but the passion she puts into it is even more impressive.

Feel Good Friday

It's finally Friday! After a long week of nonsense and discussions on how all the Football games went last week, we have another 48 to 72 hours to make it happen yet again.  Another 48 to 72 hours to bag as many chicks as possible. 

Time to bond with family and friends you haven't had a chance to see because your boss is a douche. 

Time to throw some beer back with fellow footballs while discussing how bad Tebow is and how awesome the Packers are. Notice that I didn't mention the Jets because I believe that they have a long way to go.  They still play like shit, but that's another article for another day.

Time to stand up and live by the words "FUCK IT" because life is too short, you are still young and you don't have work until 8am Monday morning.  Regardless of how the night goes, you are still awesome because you made it the best night possible with the best people time can buy.

It's time to have have the best time possible with family, friends and chasing tail. Now usally I would go in on the art of booty chasing since I bagged the best ass there is, but I'm going to change the mood a bit. 

We have all we might possibly have so far in life.  Most of us have good health, jobs (even though they may not meet the ends) and the ability to go out with whoever we want.  At times, we take this gifts for granted.  We, at times, don't think of those that are dealing with real issues.  Issues like traveling for work, in which seeing family is out of their hands, helping out sick family members, etc.



Lets celebrate the weekend for those that can't celebrate it.  Let us celebrate the weekend for this guy right here.  He's a soldier on active duty spending time with his daughter thanks to the power of technology.  All credit goes to WelcomeHomeBlog.com

So remember amigos, the weekend is a beautiful thing.  No matter what the situation may be, make the best of it for yourself and for those that can't.  Walk around with a big smile on your face and when a bottle girl/waitress brings your drink, tell them thank you with a tip and smile.  Make someone  day because for that moment you made them happy.  You made them forget their problems with a smile and being a non-douche bag.  In return, you'll feel better in the process and you never know what can happen because that's how life it.

"What you waiting for???"

I have been trying my best to come to a happy medium with my career and everyday! It gets harder by the min, and more emotional the longer it takes. Besides outlets, inspiration has be my main down fall, creatively it has been harder and harder for me to be inspired by anything...
Procrastination, exhaustion, and realization settles in to a point where it becomes harder for me to be motivated or happy about something, I'd normally be ex-tactic for...
With Halloween coming up my creativity came in a diff form with clothing... this idea of doing a Disney theme came from a co worker, while we were figuring out costume ideas for work, she decided on "The red queen" so I decided to be "Alice" of Alice in wonderland... The cartoon..
I have always had a slight obsession with it but for some reason never put it toward Halloween.. I did however have it as one of my birthday themes years ago..
I decided to make the costume myself since I didn't like the generic ones I've seen out...

                              although its not fully done yet, I made this from scratch and am proud :)

with that said, back on the career front, my sister and I spoke of our aspirations and people we admire and I stated Gwen Stefani being one of the few I admire the most, due to style, creativity and reputation.. I started to think of the rut I've been stuck in and the focus Ive had with my group Male VS Female and remembered one of her debut solo tracks that I loved and felt was something I related too, now more then ever... ironically the video is themed with Alice in wonderland, besides describing my feelings.
What gets me is that I can relate so well lately and am for the 1st time dressing as Alice.. I thought this is be a funny twist in my story...

Chemistry Held In Frame

Not too long ago, The Sweet Life's very own Jillian Valentin and Omar Torres (aKa MaleVsFemale) linked up with The Hip Hop Gamer and Shifted2U.com at BMW of Bayside.  The music duo was busy right off the bat with an interview and a great shoot. 

Here are some of the photographs we obtained for The Sweet Life viewers. 

The Hip Hop Gamer was very excited and extremely supportive of the two former solo artists linking up to start something new.  Since their interviews and photo shoots, The MaleVsFemale brand is in full swing.  I, personally. have been their from the beginning and it has been amazing to see true art in motion.  Stemming from similar fates in the past, MaleVsFemale has been headstrong and strict with their music that has yet to be release.  Those that have heard their masterpieces knows all to well that it's just a matter of time. 

 From late night practices to runs across the Williamsburg Bridge, the sky is the limit for this amazing duo.  With a few songs under their belt and a music video in the post production, MaleVsFemale hasn't stopped.  They plan to go on for years to come.  A true artist has patience and doesn't know the meaning of giving up.  Being strong hearted  and possessing the will to win keeps your eyes on track.
