Who Benefits The Most From Personal Training?

Within the fitness industry, their are numerous demographics that harness the pros from using a personal trainer. Throughout this article we will discuss what demographic truly gets everything out of personal training and why should you give it a shot.

The fitness industry has been affected by the economic woes as have everyone else. Though most fitness branches have lowered their cost in efforts to appear more appealing to the public, the one area that hasn't seen a downfall is the personal training department. Most gym goers that use personal trainers do it for the company as well as keeping their hopes on feeling good about themselves once again. Personal Training is being personal while training someone in efforts for them to better themselves not only in the physical form, but mental as well. Next time you hit the gym, look at the personal trainers and look at their clients. I can bet my bottom dollar that most of the clients are woman. This is a known fact. When you think of a women, think of their emotions. They are, by nature, more emotional then men. This is a fact and I'm not making fun of women at all, so don't misconstrued that at all.

When I've sat down with prospect women clients, 90% of them said that they want to feel good about themselves. They don't like the way they look and they want to feel sexy (in simple terms). I've told each and everyone of them:

"In order to accomplish that, you have to love yourself first. Yes you can do all you want in the gym, but if you don't love yourself, you'll never feel satisfied or proud of what you did. Of course you are here to better yourself like everyone else, but its all mental. You made the right choice walking through these doors now let's get the ball rolling to get you to where you want to be."

I'll be the first to admit that I'm not going to be satisfied until I get to where I want to be because that's how I've always been wired since I was small. I remember my father preaching when I was about 5 years old at 138th street in the Bronx. He finished his part by saying "God made you the head not the tail." Those words stuck with me forever. I love myself, but their is always room for improvement and that's the point I'm trying to get at.  So, when you do venture into the fitness world (men and women), just go with a clear mind.  Men are usually go in guns blazing, but women do go in with a different touch.  It's just the nature of the beast.

In closing, I believe that women use personal training to their advantage. They go in with more of an open mind.  At times they will tell you stories, let you know they have there period, how their day went, relationship issues, etc. I, personally, enjoyed my time with every client (both man and woman) I've ever trained.  Make sure your trainer has a personality because at the end of the day, they can have all the certs in the world, but if they are looking at you as a pay day, it's not worth it.  You are buying the company, not the certs.  You become life long friends and help them uplift their emotionsl to an all time high. Its a great feeling.
