Who Benefits The Most From Personal Training?

Within the fitness industry, their are numerous demographics that harness the pros from using a personal trainer. Throughout this article we will discuss what demographic truly gets everything out of personal training and why should you give it a shot.

The fitness industry has been affected by the economic woes as have everyone else. Though most fitness branches have lowered their cost in efforts to appear more appealing to the public, the one area that hasn't seen a downfall is the personal training department. Most gym goers that use personal trainers do it for the company as well as keeping their hopes on feeling good about themselves once again. Personal Training is being personal while training someone in efforts for them to better themselves not only in the physical form, but mental as well. Next time you hit the gym, look at the personal trainers and look at their clients. I can bet my bottom dollar that most of the clients are woman. This is a known fact. When you think of a women, think of their emotions. They are, by nature, more emotional then men. This is a fact and I'm not making fun of women at all, so don't misconstrued that at all.

When I've sat down with prospect women clients, 90% of them said that they want to feel good about themselves. They don't like the way they look and they want to feel sexy (in simple terms). I've told each and everyone of them:

"In order to accomplish that, you have to love yourself first. Yes you can do all you want in the gym, but if you don't love yourself, you'll never feel satisfied or proud of what you did. Of course you are here to better yourself like everyone else, but its all mental. You made the right choice walking through these doors now let's get the ball rolling to get you to where you want to be."

I'll be the first to admit that I'm not going to be satisfied until I get to where I want to be because that's how I've always been wired since I was small. I remember my father preaching when I was about 5 years old at 138th street in the Bronx. He finished his part by saying "God made you the head not the tail." Those words stuck with me forever. I love myself, but their is always room for improvement and that's the point I'm trying to get at.  So, when you do venture into the fitness world (men and women), just go with a clear mind.  Men are usually go in guns blazing, but women do go in with a different touch.  It's just the nature of the beast.

In closing, I believe that women use personal training to their advantage. They go in with more of an open mind.  At times they will tell you stories, let you know they have there period, how their day went, relationship issues, etc. I, personally, enjoyed my time with every client (both man and woman) I've ever trained.  Make sure your trainer has a personality because at the end of the day, they can have all the certs in the world, but if they are looking at you as a pay day, it's not worth it.  You are buying the company, not the certs.  You become life long friends and help them uplift their emotionsl to an all time high. Its a great feeling.

What Do I Want From 2012?

I've been asking myself what do I want from 2012 a lot as of late. Though I found my niche, I still hunger far more. Maybe that's due to my indecisiveness or maybe just the way I'm wired. Neither the less, I want whatever is coming to me to come at me with full force.

One thing I know for sure is that I'm looking to begin my precontest prep by December 2012. By then I should be holding a good solid 240lbs to 250lbs. I want to compete at about 220lbs. I feel that this weight would fill my frame up perfectly. I have a long road ahead, but with the game plan I have laid out, their is no doubt in my mind that I will hit my mark.

Other project I have my hands involved is school. I'm looking to further my education in the field of fitness. I plan on enrolling into school this upcoming semester to study Exercise Science. I do find the human body very interesting and plus, its only going to make me a better fitness activist. To round off my top 3, I'm looking to get closer to my family. I've been distant at times due to my focus all my projects. They have been their since day one and they still support my til this day. It took a time for my parents to warm up to the idea that I want to pursue bodybuilding full force. My father is actually all for it, but you know how moms are. I'm hoping my journey can help induced a heavy dosage of fitness in my house. I want my parents to last as long as possible. They aren't in the best of health, but I know God is with them at all times.

Sportsmanship Of The Year

I saw this highlight not too long ago on ESPN's top ten while I was at work and immediately surfed the net to get this footage.  This hits home since I've worked with children with disabilities in the past.

The Myrtle Beach Seahawks scored a convincing 64-16 win over Hilton Head in the first round of the class 3A playoffs. On the final play of the game, Hilton Head's Chip Mullen, a senior with Down Syndrome, scored on a 75 yard touchdown run on the final play of his high school career. Myrtle Beach joined the Hilton Head players in the end zone to celebrate Mullen's score.

Big Sweet Life Shout Out To The Myrtle Beach Seahwaks for displaying the definition of sportsmanship and to Chris Mullen for his 75 yard TD run.  God bless each and everyone of you.  You are all winners!

Sgt. Shamar Thomas Stands Up For NYC Protesters

Sgt. Shamar Thomas, I would personally like to thank you for saying what you said that night.  The New York City Police department has be way out of hand.  They have been rightfully criticized the unnecessary abuse they have put on our fellow New Yorkers.  If we defend ourselves, we get beaten and thrown in jail.  The commissioners has stated numerous times that the NYPD has done nothing wrong.  I object 100 times over.  They are way out of line.

Sgt. Shamar Thomas, you are a gentlemen and a scholar.  God bless you and your family.  HooRah!

Want Motovation?

Want motivation?

Sometimes the answer is right in front of you.

Instead of looking for someone to lean on,

Look in the mirror.

Look at the one person that one bullshit you.

The one person that needs to hear the truth.

The one person that can tell the truth.

That's the only motivation you need.

So . . . . . .

In other words  . . . . .

MAN UP!

Quit feeling sorry for yourself!

Stop thinking that your life is over when

You just turned 20!

Quit over thinking everything!

Life is about change!

So when are you going to change?

Think About That......
