Where I live in Long Island, Hurricane Irene really did a number on us. The house is in one piece, but the power grid is shot to shit literally. Their hasn't been power since 4 O'clock Sunday morning when Hurricane Irene was experiencing menopause. We have tried to make the best of it by making short films of our ordeal in the Viruet household. This is what we came up with. I bring to you "We Have No Power Because Of Hurricane Irene. Alex Had The Most Phone Power In The House, So He Filmed Us Since We Had Nothing Else To Do."
At this point, we are trying to figure out what the hell to do. This is the morning after the storm. Omar trys to calm us down with his mood setting Iphone
We start to realize that we are pretty much screwed at this point. With no hope of power within sight, we head outdoors as Eric and Omar talk about their fantasy house.
So the day rolls on to this. My sister in law, Stacey, brings out her werid looking dog to play. The only thing is that this dog runs a little strange....smh
Now going on 72 hours of no electricity whatsoever, my brother along with myself start to get a little annoyed at the guy across the street. For the past 3 nights he has been showing off his generator by leaving all his lights on inside and outside his house. This guy gets the "Class A Douche Of The Day" award.
I think the best part of this whole experience beside watching "National Grid" workers drinking beer while driving is that fact that our family stood by each other. We could of easily just left to chill with other people, but we bought some red and white wine and road the situation out.
This is the best part of the whole experience though. I'm calling it the "Jersey Swag!"
