One Arrogant Bastard

This past Sunday was my usual cheat day.  After having an amazing amazing amazing (can't stress it enough) amazing tomato soup from Cafe Moto off of Broadway avenue in Williamburg, Brooklyn, me and the lovely Jillian Valentin ventured to Two Door Tavern on the north side of town.

Tomato Soup at Cafe Moto

After looking through their extensive adult beverage menu, I saw the greatest name beer can ever hold.

When I saw One Arrogant Bastard Ale, I had to try it.  This beer isn't for everybody.  Bastard Ale is a very dark heavy beer with an aggressive taste.  I loved every drop of it to the point where I asked the waitress if it's ok for me to take it home.  It was that damn good.  The bottle is currently on my night stand.

What grabbed my attention, beside Arrogant Bastard Ale in bold print, was the quotes on the bottle.  The picture up top is fantastic, but the back of the bottle gets better.

"This is an aggressive beer. You probably won't like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to be able to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth. We would suggest that you stick to safer and more familiar territory - maybe something with a multi-million dollar ad campaign aimed at convincing you it's made in a little brewery, or one that implies that their tasteless fizzy yellow beer will give you more sex appeal. Perhaps you think multi-million dollar ad campaigns make a beer taste better. Perhaps your mouthing your words as you read this."

Now if that doesn't grab your attention, I would know what will.  After that day, I am One Arrogant Bastard and a fan of  One Arrogant Bastard Ale.  It is a must try!
