This epic day in United States history started off as any normal day. I began the day like any other day, with a workout from hell, shower, protein shake, etc. Later on I met up with the "J" from "The Sweet Life," Jillian Valentin and grabbed some grub. At that point in time she gets a call that will change the course of the day.
A great friend of Jillian hits her up and invites her to Bamboozle 2011 at Giant's stadium. Yes I called it Giant's stadium cause that's the better football team in New York. I am a die hard Giant's fan, so sue me! Back on track, we ended up shooting over to NJ. After getting lost in the stadium, which I didn't mind, we finally got to our destination.
We hit up Lil Wayne's stage for the night and he tore it down. That dude can perform and I couldn't have been happier to see it with my own eyes. When it was over, we ran into Porcelain Black, who is a total sweetheart and a great person to talk to. After chatting with her for a bit, I receive a text from my good friend Chris Ye/Lopez (he had a name change, but he still kicks ass!) that Bin Laden had been killed. I checked out CNN on my phone and it turned out to be true. Then as Jillian was saying bye to her boy, the roadies and I stopped by the security booth and it was on TV. I kinda didn't believe it, but it was true.
We headed back to NYC through the Lincoln Tunnel and the radio was going nuts. They had reporters by The World Trade Center and Time Square. So being the tag team champions, we flipped a coin and headed to Time Square. Plus, we figured parking would be a whole lot easier. When we got their fire trucks, police cars, 18 wheelers lined up the streets in celebration. It felt like New Years with the streets packed!
It was another awesome day of random events.
Until Next Time,
