Its that time of year for me where I find out if I still have it or not. Last year around this time I started on my journey towards bodybuilding. I had compiled knowledge over years of training and nutrition, but never had the guts to actually go through with it. I saw myself as incomplete due to my insecurities. Though I wasn't ready for the spot light but, I did it anyway and it was most arguably the best decision of my life. I lost 51 pounds in 13 weeks, which I feel is an accomplishment on its own, but I wasn't satisfied due to my placing at the competition.
One year later I am faced with this same decision. I find myself starting off a lot better than before. Instead of weighing in at 231lbs, I am currently at 210lbs. My percentage of bodyfat is between 12-14, which was check by the skinfold method. It does leave a good amount of room for error, but gives you a great idea of where your body it at.
My goal within the next 8 weeks is to be at 190lbs. I know it won't be easy, but due to my determination, I will go on record to on saying that I will achieve this goal with flying colors. I know how my mind works, so nothing will detour me from doing this.
As the weeks pass, viewers will be provided with photographs, diet information as well as my state of mind. I do admitt, the previous diet had me on edge 24/7. My parents will agree will attest to that. From that experience I know what to expect, so it shouldn't be that bad.
Below is my current nutritional breakdown.
Each Day
271 grams of protein per day.
90 grams of carbs per day.
181 grams of fat per day.
3070 Calories per day
Each Meal
6 meals per day works out to approximately:
45 grams of protein per meal.
15 grams of carbs per meal.
30 grams of fat per meal.
Works out to about 512 calories per meal.
As my weight changes so will diet. With that being said, I am extremely excited to get the ball rolling. This will be one hell of a ride and I am looking forward to the challenge. We live one live, might as well live it chasing a dream. Until next time!
