On The Hunt: Spotting A Sweet Pair of Jeans

I recently posted some advice on what to look for when buying a pair of jeans.

Now are there some things to consider when going jeans shopping, like:
  1. How many jeans do you need?
  2. Are expensive jeans better?
  3. How important is the brand name?
  4. Where do you shop for jeans?
How and Where you choose to shop really just depends on your wallet. But In today's economy we're all looking to save a buck. And you can do that without sacrificing fashion, without sacrificing quality, and by saving enough bucks to splurge on that golden pair for just the right event.

Although the answers to the questions above are purely subjective, hopefully this will lead you in the right direction.

Top 10 Guide to Getting Sweet Jeans

My style goes from bleh to wowza, depending on my mood. But the one thing that never changes is my Jeans savvy.

I've had a love affair with jeans my entire life. Why? Because jeans are a crucial asset to any woman’s wardrobe! You can use them for almost anything. And believe me, I've probably tried. I cannot live without jeans.

In a perfect world, I could wear jeans all the time. Jeans and a t-shirt... with a piƱa colada... hanging out on the beach every night... and looking like a model in a Guess ad... ok, I digress.

Buying jeans can be a defeating process – I’ll try on ten different jeans my size only to find out some sizes run small, some too big, others have pocket placement that do not flatter, then I’m lucky if after all of that I end up with one good pair.

After many agonizing hours at countless stores and several internal (and sometimes external) self-directed pep talks that my ass is not too big, I've assembled ten tips that I consider to be bible when I buy jeans:

Lil Wayne on Being Amazing

Image of DVD from DJ Scoob Doo
As some of you may remember, a while ago I was in a video shoot for the Lil' Wayne Video, No Ceilings. J was invited by DJ Scoob Doo and she asked me to come along.

Although it was very late at night, I had a lot of fun shooting the bbq scene on a rooftop in New Jersey. Portions of this scene were used in part 3 of the Nino Brown DVD series.

That was an experience in and of itself (see behind-the-scenes pics below), but
it was also quite an experience attending the screening of Nino Brown 3.

The film begins and ends with Lil Wayne telling us to "Be amazing," and to be in awe of ourselves.
Very good advice. And a very nice way to display a deeper and relfective side of this rapper

Lady Gaga Gives Good Show

Flashing. Lights. Now throw yourself on the floor, tell everyone you're tinkerbell and warn them that you're gonna die if they don't clap - NOW. Then scream your own name like a bat at of hell having a tantrum. Then everyone, in turn, screams..... That's what it's like to see "Lady GaGaaaaa!!!" Lady Gaga contorts herself to play the piano like no ones business (leg on keys, ass on keys, heels on keys, upside down)...and you just fall in love.
She's raunchy. She's wild. She full of herself. And she's overwhelmed by the love of her fans.
She's well spoken and an inspiration. Her monologue will move you, as she explains, it wasn't too long ago that she was sitting where we were "watching some bitch on stage." Then when you are smiling ear to ear, she encourages you to clap for yourselves. And clap we do.

She knows how to work the room. But every performer on that stage brings it - they gave it their all, as though it was their own concert.

The energy was almost tangible - the current of thousands totally in awe of that voice.
I screamed my heart out and danced like I was in my living room. Then I danced and sang my way out of Madison Square Garden.

The Monster Ball was indeed like "a really awesome Friday night," where the euphoria of the night before clings to your skin.
