Dreams Over Dreams

I wish I could live my life twice just to go after everything I want to accomplish.  It seems like as time passes, my heart desires more and more.  As you all know by now, their is nothing better than a great challenge.  At the young age of 25, I saw myself coming to an impasse, in which I had to make a choice.  It was either to chase modeling (which I had success in) or go all out in bodybuilding (my first love).  After seeing how God works, it was revealed that my line of success would surround me with metal and heavy metal.

I know this is in God's hands from here on out, but best believe I'm going to do my best to cover my end.  It's a sport full of controversy, patience, dedication, will power, etc.  It's not a sport that's in the spot light, but rather creeps up every now and then.  One thing is for sure when you see a competitor in this sport, you will know it right off the bat.

In two years time, I will have made my mark.  I'm confident in my abilities, I know no boundaries and it is what it is.  In the first few seconds of every morning, I open my eyes with a smile.  I love my life . . . . I love my choice.

Where Can Your Mind Take You

"Your body can sleep, but the brain will keep moving stressing over the next move in life.

Your body can rest, but the mind will keep plotting takeover's and landslides that will favor your cause.

Eight hours don't seem like 8 hours.

It will default your entity for 4 quiet minutes.

We work hard and then we work harder.

We stride towards the goal of completing the task at hand.

This lifestyle isn't for just anybody or anyone.

People have strolled down this lane thinking it's all fun and games until they see what needs to be done.

6-8 clean meals a day.

90 to 120 minutes 4-6 days a week for the rest of your life.

No drinking.

No smoking.

A gallon of water a day.

Your body talks and you mind listens.

The life of a bodybuilder.

The will of a Saint.

The heart of a soldier.

That is the life I live.  That is the life I want.  That is the life I respect.  That is the life I treasure."

Champion vs Champion

During a conversation with @Distrub_Vision aka Marcos, we fell onto the topic of bodybuilding.  We talked about some of other favorites such as Zane, Corney, Lou, Arnold, etc.  Then as I was surfing the net, I came across a pose down between Ronnie Coleman (8x Mr. Olympia 1998-2005) and Dorian Yates (6x Mr. Olympia 1992-1997).

I thought this picture was so awesome since they were never on the stage at the same time. I hit up Marcos via twitter with it.  I decided to then tag bodybuilding greats Coleman and Yates saying "Who you got @ ? @ or @ this is a close one. #Legends," not thinking anything of it.  2 days later I get a notification that @BigRonColman mentioned me on twitter.  Being a huge fan I go to the tweet and he said "It's not that damn close."

This didn't get here.  As some of us know, you can link facebook accounts with your twitter accounts.  Coleman has done this thus leading my tweet to be heatedly debated over.

One of the points that kept coming up is that Yate's picture in this photo isn't up to pare.  Even though Coleman competed at 295lbs and Yates hovered at 270lbs, people still felt that Yates had better of him.  The muscle mass and density on these guys are ridiculous, but Coleman does have more size.  Just remember, their are more mandatory poses that are involved in a pose down that choose the winner.  This is only one pose that started a debate between two champions.

This was one of the finer days in a long time.  I am a fan of bodybuilding despite all the rumors regarding performance enhancing drugs.  I still believe that this is one of the tougher sports to compete in because it all falls on you at the end of the day.  I have one competition under my belt and the diet alone will make or bad you.  It's not for the weak at mind that's for sure.  The will to win is a necessity!  I respect both gentleman.

May be one day I will stand on the same stage they stood.

Til Next Time
